Connecting Intex salt water chlorinator to Bestway sand filter

Hi, I did a quick search but don't see the answer to this. I have a costco bestway pool with the sandfilter, and I have an older krystal clear Intex saltwater chlorinator. The hose that goes between them requires a nut on each end, however the intex has the 40mm threads while the bestway doesn't. So I need a hose with two different ends, basically. Since the both machines have a thread external entry (not threads on the inside of the entry, the intex adapter doesn't work. I can't find a solution, please help.

Does the Bestway have standard 1.5" fittings?
Unfortunately I have yet to see/find the 40mm "nuts" sold separately. But once you have them it is easy to build an adapter.

I think they have standard fittings. Not a hundred percent sure. What I have found is that the nut will go on to the intex port but it won't lock in place because the threads don't match. For reference, my pool is the Bestway platinum series one from Costco, 12x22x48 ft. I have an old intex hose that I can take the nut off, but there is no way to connect it to the bestway hose, unless I cut the hose, and then I am not sure how to secure it back together without having a leak. Both the intex hose and bestway hose are 1.5 in width.

Build a new hose with flex pvc, one end using Intex nut (adapted) and the other end using Bestway nut, also adapted.
