Hi all. A friend gave me his 2 speed hayward power flo matrix pump that I wanted to connect to my pentair cartridge filter. Any insight on how to do that. I'm not very hand, and I thought I read that the connectors to each brand are like unique for each brand. How would I go about doing that?

Post a picture of your current equipment pad and of the new pump.
It should be just 2" PVC as the connections to the inlet and outlet. It may or may not have unions on it. Depending on the pump make and model, you can purchase new unions to fit it.

Power Flo Matrix pump is 1.5" in and out. Not knowing which Pentair filter means you may need to adapt to that size plumbing somewhere in the system.
