Concrete pool up north

Great pics! why didn't I think of looking at your building thread for :hammer:
It looks like you have that plumbing kit that you can get from Hayward. Just what I wanted to see :goodjob: Rigid PVC tubes are the same here and there, it's only threaded materials I have problem with.
I can get them shipped from Arizona early next week if I can't get them from our local pooolstore, something I hope he can help me with. After all are they a resellers of Hayward products. but that I know that first thing tomorrow.
Heaps of thanks to you Lynn it really helped me to see that pic. Money has become an issue with this project at the moment so I want to double check before I order more items from the US :?

I'm not saying this is how it should be done in a perfect situation as I had sooooo much trouble with the jugheads doing the install. Some of this was changed but the connections in and out of the filter have remained the same.
It looks like a very tidy plumbing job to me

Happy to help Mats. Good luck finding what you need. Can't wait to see that pretty water.
If you discover an easy way to get that darned clamp back on let me know. It's a bear :grrrr: Thank goodness I don't have to take it off but a couple times a year.

WOW! i don't comment often in this thread but I just wanna let you know that I am astounded by the quality of your work! That pool will probably outlast the houses built around it!

I'm surprised you can't find the threaded parts. They look like standard(well in the US anyway) 2" or 1.5" Unions. Good luck with your search!

Maybe this was addressed earlier in the thread and I forgot(been a while since I read page 1. :p ) Are you putting the Heat Pump in the underground machine room? If you are, did you consider that it will pull the heat out of the air in the room rather quickly and then not function well? If your not putting the Heat Pump in there than none of this matters, just thought I'd ask.

Adam

Adam my friend! I think it was you that said that our build looked "sturdy" in one early post of yours. I had never heard that expression before so it stuck, now I won't miss a chance to use it if I can  It's sturdy both here and there, that's my motto ever since that everything should be sturdy

Pieces and Lynn I'm just home from the local poolstore and they coulden't help me with the fittings to the filter but he gave me a tips on company that holds many different pvc fittings. It's a bit to drive and I don't think I'm allowed to shop there as a private person but I don't care about that right now. I'm gonna find threaded fittings to this filter no matter what, so I'm going there first thing monday morning. If I can't buy them, I will rob them
We have such beautyful weather here at the moment, summer has really come to us this week and I feel so good that we will fill it up sometimes next week. I don't know what it is but I feel so good today. A general happy feeling has embraced me and I hope it last for a long time :) I have a hard time deciding if I should start to work on the kitchen or if I should dig down our flag pole that haven't been up for two years. It feels like I could work forever right now so I have to end this post so that feeling won't disappear
I can say that the kithcen will be better than I first thought it would be when I planed it or DW planned it  I have it all pictured in my head and I can't wait until im done with it! It's a bit weird but sometime I think the kitchen will be just as fun to have as the pool. Tell me that it can't be so after all this work :)

This is what you can expect so don't forget the shades. BOB IS SPARKLING! TFP want's us to belive that it is the poolwater that sparkle. Not true! It Bob that is :goodjob:
His good looks on the pic below(taken from a concerte in June this year) must be what every sane male in this world would do whatever it takes to look like. "I would trade place with him in a minute if I could"

I am looking forward to the concert. It is at a baseball field, where I saw him perform several years ago with Willie Nelson. Turned out to be a great venue. When the weather cooperates I love outdoor concerts, especially when I can get in the front row right at the stage. Looks like you also like to be close to the stage - great photo! As for trading places with someone, I think I'd pick Elin Woods :-D Of course, as Elin, I would listen to plenty of Bob Dylan music and travel the world to his concerts! I might even have someone build a pool as nice as yours is going to be

Crek are you a she! so very interesting :)
Sorry I'm just tired and worned out. I have set a record tonight for how long I've been working at in the evening or I should rather say night. The new record is 1:15 so now I'm so up in pace that I can't sleep. That's why I'm here typing :goodjob:

Elin woods, good choice! a wealthy women with good looks and most important Swedish :-D What more could we wish for!
I have also played with the thought to go and see a major part of a tour of his, like follow him through USA, that would really be something to see him in the states. But every time I reveal my plans for the rest of the family, they are not as eager as me to let me spend all the vacation money on that. I still can't stop wondering why
I so very much agree with you on the outdoor concerts. He was supposed to come to Sweden this summer not confirmed but rumour wise. That would be the first time since 2001 he would have visit us in the summer. It such a bugger that he change plans. now I have to play around in our pool the whole summer. Not the worst thing you can do but to mix it up with a Bobby concert ot two would have been the ice on the cake. That is who you say it right, ice on the cake?

Grouting job is finished so the filling starts on Sunday 9 o clock sharp  In the meantime do I work with the electricity and the water to the kitchen. I have also orderd a truck full of sand that I need for the stucco on the walls wich arrives here sometimes tomorrow. On his way back shall he dig up a year and half of masonry rest both from concrete and the brick job that I have collected on the yard. It's a good feeling to be able to clean up the yard after such a long time living in a dump like we have.
We use to have a very tidy garden that I myself have taken a lot of pride in maintain. Now it's all ruined but it will be better than it once was, eventually. Much less lawn that I have to move every week :goodjob:
And Yeah I mounted the flag pole, ready just in time for DW birthday last monday. Flag up early in the morning together with a good breakfast that I have made for her. Do I hae to say that she melted  I have really missed our flag pole and it fit's so good in in it's new position, much better than the old placing actually. I will take a pic on it from the place we have our outdoor furnintures, it really looks good if a flag pole can look good.

Nah It's time for bed. C'ya

Way back in Oct. 1992 at NYC Madison Square Garden there was this little get together, a Bob-fest as Neil Young called it, the Bob Dylan 30th Anniversary Concert. Mellencamp played Like a Rolling Stone and nailed it. Everyone nailed their songs. Artists from June and Johnny Cash to Eric Clapton. It was, and still is, the best concert I have ever been to. This is the concert that Sinead O'Connor was booed off the stage (I admit, I booed for 5 seconds, then realized the irony of booing a protest singer at a Dylan concert.)

At the time I spent $100 on my ticket, and was the most I'd paid for a ticket up to that point. If y'all have $25-30 to spare, get the CD. However, the initial CD cut-out several excellent songs (Clapton's rendition of Love Minus Zero, No Limit; nor Nancy Griffith's powerful Boots of Spanish Leather which had Caroline Hester doing harmony, and one of Dylan's first recordings was playing harmonica on one of her songs). I've yet to find the full, unedited version. I do have it on an old VHS, which I recorded when I made it back home to Jersey. Has all the songs, and switches between sets. Super grainy, but it plays well.

Here's Mellencamp's 'Like A Rolling Stone'. Enjoy
