Wow 4 weeks of vacation in a row! I havent taken vacation since 2006. Lots of 3 day weekends, but no formal "I am taking this week off!" I think I would not know how to deal with that much time off!

Just to make sure that I will be fully prepared for the 4 weeks off did I take a day off tomorrow aswell
I'm almost done with the "you know what" after spent many long hours today, the time is passed midnight here and I'm just in, exhausted
The roof over the kitchen is in place and things starting to settled in more and more, slow and easy but it's getting closer.....
I've made an estimation how long it will take for us to fill the pool with the garden hose. And I came up with approx. 35h! For that reason will I start filling on saturday morning instead of sunday, All I have to do is to mount the lamps and connect the plumbing in the machineroom first.
The poolbuild was the easy part now are we heading towards the real challenge! Pool chemistry
But I'm feel I'm in good hands here so I think we can pull it through together

I, personally, believe that you are entitled to a few hours a day for yourself, your lovely wife and kids - you're doing this for them, but have to take a break from time to time

Just by reading your post I can tell that we are pretty much the same :-D Same age(or somewhat the same, a year is a year mate :lol: ) and with the same attitude towards life. I could easily see myself hang out with you, we could definitely entertain ourselfs
I'm so excited and eager at the moment that I have a hard time get the sleep that I need each night. I went to bed 2 a clock last night and I went up 6:30 this morning and I'm already in the start position for the compulsury morning walk that I always(almost) put myslef through before breakfast on days I'm free from work. Recharging the batteries is my code name of that activity
What I'm up to today!?! I will prepare for the last little peace of the waterline tile that's left so I can put my teeth into that task as soon as the sun goes down. But before that it's time for lamp mounting, putting up some extra beams under the roof to the kitchen and.........
All of the sudden can't I describe what I have in mind in english, can't find the words. Whats the name when you mount something permanently? I'm gonna mount(or screw down might be a better word) the poolpump on the newly poured foundation in the machineroom on rubber bussings. that's what I'm up to.
I will take out the camera if there is anything to show in the end of the day Probably not! but you're all know me.....so I might shoot a few pics anyway

You have done a great job building this pool and the surrounding area, thumbs up! Hope you will enjoy it for many years to come.

This is unbeliveable! What a response 
Haven't accomplished anything at all(according to my own scale of judging ) in a long time, but still you're so persistante and supporting us in our build . Can't say enough how good that feels! And it's aslo helping me getting through this build when it's start's to get tough here in the end :lol:
Beacuse tough it is when you see that you miss like one tenth of a bucket of Kerapoxy in what should have been the last session of grouting last evening. I coulden't belive my eyes when I was suppose to finish this nighmare job that have lasted a lifetime and realized that I'm gonna run out of epoxy just before it's all finished. I miss so little that is almost ridicilous. Which means that I have to go to the store and order another bucket that I will have here at the best at monday. When that is applied(on our vacation ) it takes another three days to cure before any water fill. I'm sorry for the delay this will cause in order to get water in the pool. We all looking forward to that, right!

Aww, man... that's got to be a disappointment. But hang in there - you will be in water soon.
I want to say this again - that is one seriously nice pool, and a seriously nice recreation area. Your work is exemplary, and your yard will doubtless be the envy of your entire neighborhood. Darn fine work!!

Today must be the best day of the year! After a good slow breakfast do I have a 1,5hour drive home, that's what left of work, after that it's 4weeks vacation I will drop by a liquour store and buy myself a good bottle of wine to celebrate. Then it's my job to Prepare the grill for tonight so it's ready when Eva get's home. I'm such a good husband That's what I want everybody to know when I write things like that, what a good person I am
No pool job what so ever today except for a fitting to the plumbing that I need to see if I can find on a store on my way home!
The little dissapoinment with the grout is forgotten I have ordered another 20 pounds bucket which I'm gonna use less than one tenths off, another 250 bucks down the drain but what a heck!
I talked to my youngest on the phone yesterday and explained the situation for here that the pool not gonna be filled when she get's home on sunday, somehting I know she has been lookking forward to alot. She was a little dissapointed but found herself when I told her that we will start filling on wendsday instead If I get the grout on Monday of course but that shoulden't be any problem but you can never know for sure!!! So next pics hopefully shows a pool full with water, yeah I know you heard it before but belive me this time! It's true, I promise

I know you have the same type of filter as me so maybe can you answer a question that I have! Have you connected rigid pvc tubes direct into the inlet ant the outlet of the filter? If so what is the outer dimension of the pvc tube? And also did you use Haywards plumbing kit.
My filter did not come with any plumbing kit neither any drainplug to the filter, something I find a bit weird to be honest. I have searched like a maniac since I've got home this morning for fittings that will fit on the bulkhead fittings that are mounted on the filter without any success. Even if we talking inches here aswell when it comes to threads on plumbig materials so are they different from what you guys use
I really can't belive I have to spend a whole day searching for something that should be very obvious the same all over the world on a well known brand like Hayward.
I already been to the local lathe operator to expand a few fittings on the swg since they didn't fit with our tubes
I regret so bad that I din't bought the equipment over here instead beacuse there hasn't been anything but trouble with this whole thing. Mellissa on pool ans spa supply have done a wonderful job with my equipment it's not her fault at all! but all the mess with things that not compatible with each other is just a pain, both electrical and plumbing wise.

Mats, here's a link to one of my very early posts. It's the best I can do for pics right now as I'm at work. Maybe this will help you. You should have a drain plug with your filter.

I'm not saying this is how it should be done in a perfect situation as I had sooooo much trouble with the jugheads doing the install. Some of this was changed but the connections in and out of the filter have remained the same.
