Compromised Liner from Screw(s)?

Hello - I just bought a house and had the pool repaired. I have figured out chemistry with my pool (I have a chlorinator, a bottom drain, skimmer and 2 jets) (also have a variable speed pump) but I had a question relating to the repair.

The liner was recently replaced and the bottom repaired. Near the entrance to the pool, I found that the contractor (which was ASP) left screws under the liner. Not screws attached to anything, but more so just laying on their side under the liner. The company is coming out shortly to check the liner itself and likely do the repair (right after their install) but in this type of case, I would think they would need to replace the liner as well? It is not leaking (yet) but I see the groves were the screws are in the liner itself. The liner is 27mil. I also plan on calling the liner company as well.

I am just trying to keep them honest with the repair as I would suspect the liner has been compromised. I don't want them to take the liner out and remove just the screws and then the liner tears in a year. Let me know your thoughts.

That is not good.

There is no telling if the liner will spring a leak or last 20 years after they remove the screws.

Did you keep any trims from the liner that you can use for a patch? We recommend you keep any trimmed pieces like where the skimmer holes are cut. If so they they can glue a patch over that weak area and probably be good and look okay.

Are you going to be there when they come for the repair so you can see exactly what they do and discuss the situation with them?

They are coming today, they are skeptical that there are screws below the liner. However, I doubt they kept any trimmings and I know I did not either. I wouldn't think the liner would last the full 15 or even 20 years with those rivets now in them. I am going to push them to replace, so lets see what occurs.
