I have a ColorLogic 4.0 pool light (24” below deck) and a ColorLogic 4.0 Spa Light. Both installed during major renovation 2017-2018 – Spa was new, and light niche was renovated for new lighting. These lights are controlled via Jandy PDA-PS8 with a Aqualink 2.0 (web Access) and 18 channel PDA transceiver (PDA Access) for remote access. Pool light began to fail last summer. Spa light worked through the fall and failed this summer.
Initially when switched on (not sure of color selected), both lights light. After around 10 seconds, pool light goes out and spa light goes out 10-20 seconds later. Pool light will not turn on a second time, while spa will. I checked all connections, Power to transformer, and transformer to junction box. Voltage is consistent 115 V to transformer and 13 volts to light (at junction box). I have tried running them individually and tried resetting the light.
During these tests, I notice, in service mode, the spa light seems to keep going (though cycling color). I found that selecting the first color option in iAqualink, Voodoo Lounge (which cycles color), the spa light remains lit. Selecting any other color seems to result in the light either not turning on or going out immediately.
Tried resetting again, no luck. Any Ideas? I assume both lights are bad. Looking for confirmation before spending $$$.
