Color question about tan liners

I am considering a tan liner. I have an 18 x 36 inground, 8ft diving well and 4ft shallow end. I want that feel of sand on the entry steps transitioning into aqua blue water as the water gets deeper, as I have seen in photographs. My pool guy is old school he says he has installed some tan liners, but says in his opinion, it looks like a dirty creek. I have looked online at photos, but hard to tell what hasn't been color enhanced to make it look more aqua. Bottom line, is my pool large/long enough and deep enough to give the effect I am after? How does a tan liner look on cloudy days? I really don't want it to look like a muddy creek! If any of you have pix to share, that haven't been retouched at various times of the day, I would appreciate your sharing. Thanks in advance

You haven't received an answer, so I'll have a go, and I'll also warn against it. Pebblecrete was very popular here for a long time, and it's overall colour is a sandy brown. Those pools look green most of the time. The water can be perfectly well maintained and they still look green to me, kind of a pale brownish green. I would not use brown or tan as a pool internal color as a result.

In google maps, enter 6 Yerong Pl, Castle Hill, NSW, Australia, switch to satellite view and zoom in. That's a modern pool with a very light blue finish and darker blue highlights. Now look at the three pools nearby, those are all pebblecrete (light brown before the water goes in)
