My Pool light had a broken housing node which held one of 2 screws that secures the light. The fixture rolled to one side still secured by second screw.
Repair tech pulled light fixture and set it on the deck to perform work. Fix was to install a wedge in light fixture. He did have some difficulties but finally put the light back in the can.
When he finished I restored power and turned on. Both lights worked. I turned them off afler about 1 min.
3 weeks later I turn them on again, but this time the spa light would not come on.
I made a repair appt but at $1,075 for a spa light I have questions. So I go home after being told of the repair cost. And try the light again. Now neither light will come on.
If water got inside of the pool light connection....would that cause this type of failure? Is there another possible theory ?
Power is present at J box feeding fixtures.

Welcome to TFP.

Hard to believe it is coincidence, but it could be.

How did you check power at the J box?
