So I am having some trouble with cloudy water and algae. The algae I can’t seem to kill.
I have been shocking with cal hypo about 2-3 bags depending on chlorine levels in pool, running filter non stop, and backwashing every couple of days or when pressure goes up 5 or so psi. So I shocked last night to about SLAM levels and when I tested this morning my chlorine levels stayed around a 16. So do I just keep brushin, let the filter run, and keep testing? When I brushed this morning I noticed that there was not really much kicking up (just in a few spots) and it was more brown vs green where as last night when brushing it was green and lots of it was kicking up. The tint has also changed. It is more of an aqua color and lighter vs being darker and having a green tint.
Here are my numbers with Taylor K2005 test kit and for the FC I had to dilute and multiply by 9 to get the fc.
Fc 16
Tc 16
Cya 40
Alk 95
Ph 7.8
Ch 240
I have a sand filter a use an inline chlorinator with pucks. Pool is about 32-33,000 gallons and has a vinyl liner.
Thank you.
