I have slightly cloudy water as a result of a bad flow switch on my SWCG and my chlorine got a little too low. Now the water is a little cloudy. I am thinking I just need to slam the pool but am confused by the fact that my Free Chlorine has been fluctuating between 1 and 3 (using liquid bleach until I get a new flow switch) and my Combined Chlorine has consistently been 0.
Latest tests this AM:
FC 3
CC 0
CYA 50 (been rebuilding this over the past couple weeks and still in process)
TA 200 (pretty normal for my pool for years)
CH 325
Temp 82
Salt 3600
This afternoon FC 1 and CC 0.
Note, that as I've added liquid bleach over the past few days, the water is clearing up a bit each day. But FC is still dropping when tested 12-18 hours later, and CC has remained at 0.
Does a slam make sense in this situation, or should I just add enough chlorine to get up 4 or 5.
Thanks!
