Have some cloudy water at deep end. Test results are Cl 5.0 and 0 cc.=5.0 TC, TA 90 since rain during night, pH 7.8 and CYA 50. Not sure if I have the start of a problem or not based solely on somewhat cloudy at the deepend. Also I just increased cya from 30 to 40 a few days ago, but showing 50 now.

With a cloudy pool, I would slam immediately. Use 20 FC for your target. You likely got below minimums at some point and have algae blooming. Link-->SLAM Process

If you think it can't possible be algae, then do an OCLT. Link-->Overnight Chlorine Loss Test

If you start slam sooner, it ends sooner.

Thank you for your reply and that sounds good.

Did you read the linked article to the SLAM Process?
Yes, I did. I think I am just over stressed on the 0.5 still showing up. 15.5+0.5 this morning and 8.5+0.5 tonight. 90's here and very humid. I removed step pads/ one felt slimy on the bottom. No color. Worrisome though. Probably overthinking this. Pool is no longer cloudy and looks great. Brushed it down again this AM and have been running the pump 24/7. Thank you for your reply.
