I think I need help understanding what is happening.
I have an 8 metre x 4 metre small kidney shaped pool, tiled, approx 40,000 litres.
Using a 1 1/2 hp pump and Hayward VL240T sand filter, with glass media.
Flow through is excellent, with water turnover every 11/2 hours approx.
Recently I have emptied the pool, cleaned using diluted acid ( 2:1 ratio ),
power washed the walls and floor, and continuously flushing through the pump and filter.
Back washed the filter, and flushed again until the sight glass is clear.
Filled the pool, from a deep water well, which isn't the best water in the world !
Tested and treated to get the ph levels and chlorine levels just right.
The pool was looking good, crystal clear.
We are in the Philippines therefore the pool gets quite a lot of direct sunshine, which can burn off the chlorine quite quickly, however, I test often and treat as necessary.
Yesterday we had friends over with about 12 kids who spent hours in the pool until well after sundown.
I love seeing the kids enjoy themselves while getting good exercise.
Came out to the pool this morning and it is cloudy, with a milky/white sort of hue going through it.
I can still see the pool drain, but only just.
Why would the pool go cloudy like this in such a short period of time ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am not totally up on all the technical aspects of running a pool.
