Closing question in Oklahoma

Hello,

Folks in Oklahoma, please chime in and help. This is the first year we are thinking of closing.

We want to leave the pool uncovered, but winterize. Few say they recommend blowing out the lines, while few say they do not blow the lines.

Do you blow out the lines?
Do you cover the pool?

i’m in stillwater... we blow out the lines, add antifreeze and cover. i wait until the water temp is below 60 and open early in the spring

If you are closing the pool for the winter, and temperatures get below freezing for an extended period of time, then clearing the lines is in your best interest. Adding anti-freeze is optional unless you are in a deep freeze zone, which I believe you are not. Therefore, skip the anti-freeze and clear the lines for a piece of mind.
