I apologize in advance as this is probably asked a lot but we're first time pool owners and this site has been great help this Summer, but sadly it's time to say goodbye to the pool until Spring.
We are hiring someone to help us winterize mostly because I don't want to fight the cover and mess up winterizing the pool heater.
I prefer to do the chemical balancing myself before he comes to close tomorrow. Chlorine level is up at SLAM, and we're not losing FC overnight and I have a bottle of Polyquat 60 ready to go. Plan is to add that today while the filter is running to help distribute it.
Is there anything I'm missing chemical wise? Is it really as simple as closing cold?
