Has anyone used the Clorox Pool & Spa My Pool Care Assistant with the App that has a scanning option? I was looking to try it out. It sounds very easy and convenient.

Anything test strip based has proven unreliable, and inaccurate.
I'm curious, what is it about this system that appeals to you over the FAS/DPD & drop based tests that we recommend?

It uses test strips. Doesn't matter what is reading the strips, human eye, electronic eye, or the camera on a phone, test strips are unreliable junk. Don't waste your money. Invest in TF-100 or K-2006 and do it the right way.

I tried it, thinking it was a good idea and was far from impressed. After using a few strips and not seeing changes in some of the levels, I went back to my old test kit. The strips gave me a 0 for CYA, even after adding 4lbs of stabilizer in a 13500 gal pool. Now I have to think about doing a partial drain to get the CYA down from 90. If the pool stays clear, I'll probably just leave it alone. Also, my ph never moved from 6.8, luckily that's an easy fix.
