I just bought a new Intex Sand Filter with salt water chlorinator for my above ground pool.
Lowe's in our area of Hawaii only carries "Clorox Filter Sand Plus", which doesn't say what's in it.
I have been reading that ZeoSand is made of Zeolites (mined volcanic silicates of sort) which is
supposed to be 10X smaller particles than Silica Sand #20 which is recommended by the Intex.
Does anyone know if Clorox Filter Sand Plus and Zeosand are essentially the same product?
Are they safe for the Intex Sand Filter?
It seems the Zeolite product is much better than the #20 filter sand for Algae growth and
controlling ammonia and other waste products.
Anyone know?
