I expected shock ( Dichlor or MPS) would clear up cloudy water in maybe an hour or two but seems it’s more like days than hours? Would it help to run the filtration system longer?

I would use liquid chlorine instead and run the filtration system. How long has it been since you changed the water and cleaned out your pipes and filter, using Ahh-some?
So far, I've only ever had cloudy water when I slack off and don't maintain the FC above the minimum for my CYA.
Are you running bromine or chlorine? What is your sanitizer level? Did you let that drop low or to nothing before the cloudiness started?
