Clearance on Bleach at Lowes

Just saw Comet Bleach 7.5% for $4.77 3 pack. That is $1.49/gallon. Looks like a good deal.

This does show "Protects and keeps fabrics whiter longer". Sounds like marketing spin for regular bleach but I can't find detail on the ingredients.

What do you guys think?

I see the word "Fabric Protection" in the description. That's usually a tell tale sign of a polymer additive.
Based on the price and the date code, it might be good for other (non-pool) uses though.
It shows as $2.97 for a 3-pack at my local Lowes - using your link and my AZ store.

Most bleaches manufactured in the US nowadays utilize licensed “fabric protection technology” from Clorox known in the sciences as polyelectrolyte complexes (PECs). Here is an example patent -

You really don’t want that stuff in your pool. It can build up over time and lead to foaming or cloudy water.
