Clear until i sweep

No. Stop using all pucks. Your CYA is high enough and pucks constantly add more.

Get all your chlorine from liquid or install a SWG.

4.5FC and 0CC. Was at 10FC last night. That seem normal or positive indication of algae consuming it. Added 1 jug of liquid chlorine. Will check it again in a bit. Also will vacuum this weekend and do another full test after. Still clouds when I sweep or run the vacuum but I know I am Just starting treatment so. Will keep you all posted. Thanks again for the help!’

5/10FC was 8.5 that morning. Today5/11 it is 3.0FC. I vacuumed so see if that takes care of the white cloud. With CYA at 70 should my FC be stable or is it indicating I got bugs? Need to slam?

For a 70 CYA, a 5.5 ppm loss in a day is too much, unless it incorporated 2 daytimes and the nighttime between the 2.

So that's basically 2 full 'daytimes' and a 5.5 FC loss is really just under 3ppm per day, which is more reasonable for the spring.

The Overnight Chlorine Loss Test proves the water healthy or in need of a slam. I wondered about my own the other day and jumped on the OCLT.

Ok GREAT. Get that FC up and pronto. You're losing about 3ppm right now, and some wiggle room never hurt anyone so dose at least 4ppm over minimum.

Thank you all for your help. I think im in good shape now. I wonder if the white dust was algea or suspended calcium. Vacuumed to waste couple times. Stopped shocking with granules and using pucks. Strictly liquid. I havent treated in two days so I’ll do that today. 3.5FC, 0.5CC, 8.0pH, 120TA, 80CH, 65CYA. White dust is very slight in spots to gone. Seems one jug of liquid is 4.0FC. That seem consistent with what you all see?
