Need some help on the best way to clean our our auto cover.

Have been through a big backyard Reno and the vault and the top of the cover I'm sure are covered in filth potentially algae etc. I am worried it basically is entering the pool every time I open and close it.

What is the best way to go about cleaning it for organics etc on the surface and then also cleaning out and cleaning up any organics in the vault?

Also I don't think the bottom of the cover is going to be easily accessible but I'm hoping if I raise the chlorine levels a bit and let it sit on the water after cleaning the top and the vault that should take care of the underside?

thanks in advance

That is a good thing to worry about. For the cover use what the manufacture tells you to use on the cover. For the vault I would I would have some liquid chlorine and a good, stiff brush to scrub it with. Is there a drain or any way to get good, chlorinated water into it on a regular bases? Or is there a way to keep it drained so no water is sitting in it?

I will have to check, but I am pretty sure the vault drains right into the gravel/French drains located below the pool deck. I never see water accumulated in it post rain fall etc. I'll have to double check when I clean it out though.
