Our pool cleaner keeps getting stuck by the steps. Any ideas to stop it from happening?

You could build a frame out of the PVC that will block the cleaner. LIke b said knowing the kind of cleaner will help also.
It is the aquabot mamba, it cleans really well.... when not stuck
Okay so what I would do is build a box around the steps using PVC. You can fill it with sand or concrete to hold it down. You will have to make it so it is not a tripping hazard for people using the steps. Make the openings small enough your cleaner can't get through it.
If you are having a hard time seeing my idea let me know and share a pic of your steps in the pool. I will TRY to draw what I am thinking about.

Did you ever find a solution to this problem? I’m having similar problems.
I wish I could find the thread where the person did build a "box" around the bottom of the steps out of 3" pvc and filled it with sand. It worked!!! I will keep looking.
