ive got air under my lid (JVX300 pump) all plugs are closed tightly on the pump, my buddy had it as a spare so I swapped my pump off to eliminate pump as the possible issue running my in ground pool (40'x20') its the size of the lid viewing window, I've changed all 3 seals (2 smaller on shaft and 1 bigger with lube) on all my valves along with put water on all joints and no change. I've got 2 suction returns on the floor in the deep end and 1 skimmer also on the deep end wall. I pulled the basket and some part that sits on bottom of the inside of the skimmer and see 2 holes (closest hole to the water I didn't feel any pressure assuming that's coming from the 2 floor returns (learned that on this nice site!) and the hole behind it I felt a VERY strong vacuum with the JVX300 on high. I have a dedicated line for floor vacuum so I left the vacuums line connected and pulled the MX8 Elite vacuum off the end leaving the hose open in water and switching the valve to full vacuum mode only (cutting off skimmer and apparently attached twin floor returns) and no change in pressure on filter gauge and no change in bubble size bigger or smaller. I wanted to see if anyone had any other idea I haven't thought of before building a manifold and pressure testing my lines to absolutely verify I've got no underground issues. is there an acceptable bubble size that means no issue? I've read over all the dreaded typical bubble threads that all say there is a leak on the suction side. I've cleaned my filter (Jandy DEV 60 Sq. Ft. DE Filter) as in actually opened and sprayed the grids and refilled with the 7lbs of D.E. making sure grids where broken as well. lubed ALL o-rings in the entire system. am I missing something before I build a pressure tester to test lines underground?
