I'm hoping the expert eyes and heads on TFP can evaluate a plan I'm considering. I'm installing a CircuPool RJ+ and will be connecting it to the load side of my Easytouch Relays. I'm also removing a pressure side cleaner pump I no longer use. Below is a picture of the relays. The top-left is the filter pump relay (#1). Jumpered off its load side to the line side of the #2 relay are red wires for the cleaner pump I'm removing. This gave me the idea to connect the RJ+ to the load side of the #2 relay. This will allow me to then separately schedule the RJ+ on the old cleaner circuit in the EasyTouch, ensuring two things: 1) it can't power without the filter pump running and 2) it can only run in Pool mode, like when the cleaner used to come on. Otherwise, with my plumbing, there is some risk of over-chlorination if the SWCG runs when the pump runs in Spa mode. I don't have physical space to install the salt cell or flow switch on the pool return line only to avoid that concern. Both have to be inserted into the return line before the 3-way valve separating pool/spa return water.

Does this repurposing of the cleaner circuit sound like the solution I think it is? Am I overlooking something that makes this a bad idea?

So grateful for the collective knowledge of TFP. Thanks!
