So I want to post a couple of issues re: my CircuPool RJ+ 30.

1st and most concerning to me. The system is grossly incorrectly reporting the salt level. Ive thoroughly cleaned the cell and that did make a small difference, but it is just small. although I could not visually see any scaling on the plates at all. My new Taylor salt test kit tells me 4000 ppm. The RJ tells me its 1900 with low salt alarm.

I want to solve this problem. I am assuming the cell detects the salt level ?? and need to replace the cell, but I am not sure. Looking for confirmation of that if you guys know.
Have any of you experienced a similar problem with the CircuPool System?

As a fyi, this problem started last year which was the 2nd year Ive had this system. I had to bring the actual salt level up to about 6500 ppm just to get the RJ system to sense the salt level was 3000 and make chlorine.

2nd, and I consider this a nuisance rather than an actual problem, is the keypad. I have to forcefully tap on it a few times to get it to scroll through the menu, adjust levels and etc. I'm gonna replace the keypad as soon as CircuPool has them back in stock. This also started last year.

Like the Hayward, the Rj System measures salinity by determining the level of conductivity in the water. Anything that affects conductivity can trigger a low salt/check cell indicator. Some examples include low salt, dirty cell, air trapped in the cell or low water temperature. All of these things must be aligned in order for the system to calculate an estimated salinity level. Also, ensure 'cell type' setting has not been changed. Customers often unknowingly change the cell type altering the salinity level which in turn can also trigger a warning light. Any solid warning lights will shut off amps to the cell, meaning no chlorine production.
They recommend going through the items on this page before replacing the cell.

I'd certainly check the cell type on the controller...

Still bad after troubleshooting, warranty the cell...

I have no problem letting you know why Im not claiming warranty.

On Saturday, I went to circu pool website, I ordered a new cell and sent them a message to their customer support.
As of yet, Ive no confirmation on my order or reply to the message. So you might imagine what my opinion of them might be and how a warranty conversation might go? Let me tell ya that I have a big problem with poor or no customer service. It's best for me to just let this go.

An hour ago, I put in my other order for a new cell to Discount Salt Pools. They had the keypad in stock too so I ordered that as well. I got confirmation that it's already shipped.

Discoutsaltpool and Circupool are both part of the same company, Pace Research Limited.

Both have provided other members very good support.

Call 888-206-9938 extension: 3. Have your serial # ready. May take a minute wait, but they do answer.

Well Im glad someone is happy with their support.

I bought the CP system directly from the CP based in Houston on the CP Website. Took them 10 days to ship it. Probably would have taken longer if I hadn't called them on the phone. The guy I spoke to was nice, but he didn't have an answer as to why the service was so slow.

So far, Im good with Discount Salt Pool. So I'll stick with that.

Hopefully the new cell will sort my problem out.
