Trying to wire my new Edge-40 into my intermatic pool timer. Cables coming in from bottom right of timer box are from the SWG. I figure the free neutral from the SWG goes to neutral, but does the black wire from the SWG go to line 1 or load 2?

I was playing around with it and put white to neutral and black to load 2. Everything seems to be working now but wanted to check here to see if that seems correct.

Also, my initial salt reading was 360. Per pool math to get it to 3500, I added 12 40lb bags of salt. This was added on Wednesday afternoon. A day later the SWG was reporting low salt so I tested with aquachek salt strips and salt only came back at around 1400. Is it possible the salt just wasn't mixed into the water completely yet? I'm hesitant to add more salt. Ordered the Taylor salt kit but it won't be here until Tuesday.

Thanks!

Hot wire goes to LINE. Switched wire to SWG goes to LOAD. You have it correct.

It can take a few days for salt to mix. Wait until you get your Taylor 1766 test kit and can check salt levels with that before adding anymore salt.
