Choose your battles..

Last chlorine addition was yesterday 5pm. Sunny day today. Also added approximately half of 2# container yellow out directly over stairs & brushed hard to make sure mustard algae was gone.
Oh no - show us the container of the product you used.
Yellow out is not part of the
SLAM Process

You have added ammonia to your pool which has given you a large chlorine demand.
Get fc up asap and watch it like a hawk or your algae troubles will return in short order.
The only thing you can do now is keep the fc up until all the ammonia is consumed.
& no more potions 🧪!

I say keep the slam going otherwise you will be back to square one. As it is I recommend an extra day of slam after a pass but after what just happened keep it going. An extra few days can stave off another 10 day slam. We've seen this many times.

Slam is what you do to rid yourself of ammonia so you’re done when you pass all 3 end of slam criteria.

Ok. Redo oclt in say 3 days? And continue slam for a day if it passes test?
If you’re passing the other 2 criteria you can oclt tonight & see where you stand. With the ammonia involved I would recommend passing 2 oclts in a row before proceeding with maintenance fc.
