Choice of pool pad protector

I am curious what the experts say about pool pad protectors? Which is the best one to get? I have heard Amor Shield Pad Protectors are good. Any thoughts from the forum? I am building a 15x30x52 AquaSport Pool buried 24" in the ground and I am looking for thoughts about the best pad protector as well as the best way to prepare the ground (other than the sand base) under the liner.

I did not use one but I did use 3/4 inch foam insulation from Lowes and some have used 1/2 inch 4 ft x 8 ft sheets connected together using 3 inch Gorilla tape... Mine is still good to go and has been under there 5 years going on 6... It will not hurt using the armor shield also or by itself....
