I tried the rubbing alcohol. It cleaned the numbers right off the inside but left the black smokey stuff!!
I'll order a new one ... cheap enough. Thanks for the idea.

You know what I've done (because I'm such a cheapo), is measure 10 ml in my other tube that I use for TA. It doesn't have ink, only the markings. As long as that tube is clean, I measure 10 ml then pour it into my chlorine only tube. Maybe not ideal, but it helps me to know I actually have 10 ml measured correctly.

Why not take it one step further and take a permanent marker and mark it where the 10 ml line is (on the Chlorine only tube). Now you don't have to swap it out, you know where the 10 ml line is.

I've thought of that, but I'm sloppy with a marker and would probably mess everything up. Ha
