Chlorine level in salt water pool

I’m vacationing in an house with a saltwater pool. I’ve never had a saltwater pool. I’ve tested the water with a 3-way drop test kit that I bought locally. It doesn’t show any chlorine level. Shouldn’t you be able to use this test in a saltwater pool too?

A “saltwater pool” is a chlorine pool. Just the source of the chlorine is created on site rather then from a liquid or tablet.

Your pool needs chlorine to sanitize it.

Typical rental house pool problem. Complain to the house manager.
