Chlorine gas

Have always used choline tabs but I’ve had to drain my pool every 3 years due to high CYA. Thinking of starting to use a maintenance company that uses chlorine gas to avoid this. But my question is whether the chlorine gas is ok to use with Stonescapes mini pebble finish as I am going to have my pool resurfaced with it and don’t want to do any harm to it.

liquid chlorine is the safest and easiest way to sanitize a pool.

It won't harm your pool surfaces but you can avoid increasing cya by simply using chlorinating liquid (aka liquid chlorine aka bleach) from any retail or pool store.

Chlorine gas will not harm a pool if handled properly. However it brings its own issues…

Chlorine gas = 100% pure chlorine

I have a SWG pool, so my system generates chlorine gas. I know that some large pool complexes and most water treatment plants use pure chlorine gas for chlorination. There is one pool service company here in Tucson that offers chlorine gas chlorination...

Opinion on using chlorine gas.

I Work for a company that uses gas. I'm on my 7th year here and coming up on my 15th year total in the business. I've heard many claims that gas is bad for plaster and have also heard, through the words of customers who have plaster issues, that the gas was the problem. Now I've serviced well...

Gas Chlorine?

What in the heck is "Gas Chlorine". Saw this in one of my spam facebook group things "Pool cleaning service/ exclusive gas chlorine!! We offer a monthly pool cleaning service and an exclusive gas chlorine service." Is this like magic unicorn pixie dust?

Get a SWG (highly recommended) or switch to liquid chlorine.

Unless you're physically unable, you're much better off caring for your pool yourself. You'll get superior results and save a lot of money, time, effort, and headaches.
