Chemicals and solar cover with fountain

Hello all...

A few questions if i may. I've been using the fountain that was suggested for lowering TA since it was 180. That has lowered but now the PH is 8.2. During this time i have installed my solar cover and reel and have had it on for a few days minus the 2 to 3 hours of swimtime after school. I have noticed that my FC levels are maintaining beautifully which is a blessing but I am worried about the PH being so high. With the fountain constantly going because the kids love it will i have to fight these high levels with muratic acid consistently? Is the solar cover adding to the raising of the PH? Any help would be great. Still learning everyday as a new pool owner.

Aeration drives the pH up. The solar cover does not have an effect.

Minimize the use of the fountain. Also your pH will not rise as quickly once your TA falls by adding acid to lower pH.

Ok thanks. I assumed the fountain just kept aeration going and ph just keeps climbing. TA is not in range yet so hopefully with a few more gallons of acid it will stabilize.
