I started maintaining my pool at the beginning of October, so 1.5 months under my belt. In that time I have used $15 in chemicals! Compared to almost $200 per month for my pool service - so my prorated service cost would be about $300!

Thanks for that report. People often don't realize how cost effective it can be to maintain their own pools. So you saved $285 over 1-1/2 months....that's a whole lotta trips to Dunkin Donuts!!
