Folks,
My old air button control for the booster pump on the spa is failing again. About a year ago it started causing the pump to start by itself. I replaced the micro switch in the box and this solved it for a while. This time it started the same thing but the micro switch tested out OK. I can't seem to get it to start or stop with the air button even by blowing in it hard. So I replaced the tubing... still same problem. Maybe the button itself is bad but I'm tired of messing with this stone-age technology. I have lots of spare slots for relays in my rs 12 controller and even a few spare relays. I plan to switch the pump start from the air control to a start-relay in my iAqualink control. Are there any experts that can tell me a reason not to do this? We love the phone app for pool controls and always use it to control spa heat at the spa anyway.
Chris
