Change size of holes in above ground soft pool

Hey,
i had a 18' intex round inflatable easy set ring pool last year. The mice got into it over the winter and I ordered another 18' intex round inflatable easy set pool. The holes in this pool are smaller than last year's for the intake and outlet for the water. Can I cut them to fit my fittings? If so, to what size, exactly?
do I need to replace my fittings with smaller ones? If so, where do I buy them?

Will the vinyl not stretch over your existing fittings?

No, the holes are the size of the smaller fittings that I had on my older 16' pool. My pool and pump
from last year have larger pipes and fittings.
