My CH is currently 225 or below the Ideal range recommended by TFP but the builder of the pool (San Juan) recommends 175-225. Also see Taylor’s ideal is 150 to 400.
Am I safe with a CH of 225?
Other numbers are:
FC - 5.5
CC - 0
TA- 75-80
PH - 7.6
Salt - 3070
CYA - 70

Thanks

CH for a fiberglass pool without a gas fired heater is primarily to keep the shell from staining. If you are not having any issues, stay with what you have.

Thanks for the quick reply —- I have an AquaCal heat pump —- while I had staining a few years ago, I believe it was from metals and since then I use BioGuard Pool Magnet and have had no problems with staining.
I guess it wouldn’t hurt to get to a CH of 300.
Thanks again
