Century VLink

Is the Century VLink service down or is it just me? It's been about 3 weeks since it was working properly and I was able to communicate with the controller hooked up to my VGreen 165. My iPhone app was giving me a strange error last week, but that went away and still no service. I've since tried to "re-pair" the controller, but no luck.

In the year I've owned it there were frequent outages and if it's out on a Saturday, it seems it's always Monday when the service comes back up. I'm guessing that coincides with someone going into the physical office and rebooting equipment. So with the Coronavirus keeping people at home I'm guessing nobody has gone back in to reboot the seemingly unreliable piece of equipment they have. I sent them an e-mail on April 6th but no response.

Thanks,
Jeff

Welcome to TFP.

Sounds like it is an ongoing problem.

Its been working fine for me over the last few weeks. I did have a weird error message on April 13. Sent a screenshot to Century, but no reply. The error did clear the next morning and I haven't seen a problem since. Last season on occasion i did have some issues with their server, but it cleared up within a day.

Thank you for the responses.

laprjns - that's the same error I got and probably the same day. Thanks for letting me know the service was working, it made me start thinking and I figured out my problem. I tried a new wifi router recently, but the range/performance were worse than what I had. When I switched back to my old router at some point I changed the 2.4 Ghz band to wireless n only. I just set it back to mixed mode (b/g/n) and of course the VLink connected! So it was my own fault all along.

I guess it's unlikely they'll respond to e-mails, I had sent them another one from an account other than my sign in account a month or so ago as well and they never responded. I did learn that the Reset button apparently doesn't do anything, I pressed it numerous times and for numerous durations. When I re-associated the pump to my account, my schedule and overrides were still there.

Thanks again,
Jeff
