So weird question. Our pool has been drained for 9 days for a re-plaster. We are filling the pool today and plan to re-start the pump tomorrow.
I checked the condition of the filter this afternoon. It has been sealed up and I haven't opened the filter compartment since draining. When I opened the filter compartment today, it had a funky smell. Almost like gasoline? Not funky like algae. Also, the filter wasn't green. I guess I should have opened it up before now....
Just wondering if anyone has ever encountered that. I plan to spray in out in the am before start up. I can't do it right now because the pool is filling up. I put the filter back in the compartment so it would stay semi-moist until I can spray it out. I thought a dry filter would be harder to clean tomorrow am.
