Cartridges

I have a cartridge filter. I’m cleaning the filters at the moment to get all the pollen out. I’ve seen people say recently that as long as there are no holes in the filters and the bands are intact, they don’t need to be replaced. I remember from quite a few years ago, other people saying that bands are not necessary once it’s installed. The bands on my larger filter are pretty much gone. Seems to be filtering just fine. Really don’t want to replace them if not needed. Here’s a picture of the larger filter, a representative spot. There are places where there’s no band for several inches. Actually, the original band is gone. This is just sort of residue from the bands. The bands on the smaller, taller filter are fine. Both replaced I’m going to guess five or six years ago. Any recommendations?

My carts look like that in places. I say press-on. I have T-shirts in the same condition. Ha.

The cartridges are backin place and continuing to filter just fine.
