Hi all, I have a Jandy filter tank that contains 4 large cartridges used for water filtering. I removed them to clean and my inspection shows that the appear to be in OK condition and I was able to clean the pleats good. They are 3 years old. I was wondering how long to these types of cartridges last and whether I should replace them before the start of swimming season.

If properly maintained and cleaned, a looooooong time.

The cartridges should last at least 5 years, and most last 7 to 10 years.

Thanks Jim that's what is was hoping to hear as the OEM cartridges are pricey to replace. I see there are generic versions online for sale that are less expensive but wondering if they are any good.

The OEM does not build their own cartridges, they just buy a generic version and put their name on it...
