Can’t get our pool light back in

We took our pool light out to replace the bulb, and we can’t get it all the way back into the hole. The screw is holding but it’s very loose. Does anybody have any suggestions? Is it just a matter of wiggling it and getting it back in there? Is it OK to swim with it like this with the power on?

Upon further wiggling, we’ve discovered that the screw is not grabbing the plate. We’re going to try a new screw

Hope that does the trick. I saw your post earlier, but I haven't had to struggle with that issue so I wasn't much help.
