I have an older whisperflo pump that was leaking like crazy, so I ordered a new shaft seal and replacement o rings and gaskets. seemed to be pretty straight forward to get the new shaft seals in place. I had to buy a new impeller because the old one was cracking and parts were broken off. Now however I cant get the impeller to spin after putting the motor back onto the wet end. It spins freely until I tighten up the bolts on the seal plate, then it wont spin. Ive taken the whole thing apart several times looking for a reason and I cant figure it out. Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks!

Is the diffuser making contact with the impeller when the wet end is tightened up? Got the impeller screwed on all the way? Both seals seated firmly?
What is the model number of the pump and model number of the impeller? How thick is the impeller?
Took the whole thing apart then put back together again. Now it's working fine. Honestly can't figure out what went wrong the first time but it works now!
