Can't get chlorine level after shocking

Hi. Any help on this would be appreciated. I have a vinyl liner in ground pool. 20,000 gal. I have a DE filter. I have shocked five days in a row and can't get chlorine to register even immediately after shocking. I added stabilizer and still no chlorine. I took a water sample to pool store. The water looks clear. No sign of algae.
Results:
Free Chlorine 0.05 ppm
Total Chlorine 0.28 ppm
Combined Chlorine 0.23 ppm
ph 6.5
Hardness 495 ppm
Alkalinity 39 ppm
Cyanuric Acid 27 ppm
Copper 0.6 ppm
Iron 0.1 ppm
Phosphate 440 ppb

Pool store recommendations:

Add Alkalinity up
ph up
stabilizer

I added everything recommended. So now alkalinity and ph are fine, but still no chlorine. I would appreciate any advice I could get on this!!!!!!

When there is no chlorine present either something in the water is consuming it or no chlorine was added in the first place. What product did you use to shock the pool?

patricia12354, How much stabilizer did the store say to use? The 27ppm you had already is on the low side of fine but still just fine. Also what type of chlorine are you using?

Hi Patricia,

It sounds like you've got algae consuming your chlorine rather quickly. To clear a pool, we reccomend the SLAM method. Here are some links to help you understand
