Can we run our inground pool when the backflow preventer is turned off?

Our back flow preventer busted over night, so we had to turn it off. We have an autofill system for the pool but that is turned off as well because it did not work correctly after a while. We cannot get anyone to come until Monday. Can we run our pool without problems until then?
We are quite confused about backflow preventers and the internet has gotten lousy on providing information for laypeople….

Yes.

If your pool water level gets low fill it with a hose since your autofill is not working.
