Can the rebar ties stick out and can you fill in an empty 3’-4’ area with shotcrete?

We are owner builders of our pool and having a couple questions. We are scheduled for shotcrete in 5 days.
1) Can the rebar tie wires stick out or should we bend all of them in? (See attached pic). In our area (AZ) we need 3” shotcrete above and below.
2) An area of about 3’ by 4’ (we enlarged our tanning ledge) needs to be filled with shotcrete as we changed layout a bit. Should we pound some rebar down into the ground to give a little more support? Can you fill in all that area with shotcrete or is it too large of an area?

Tidy up all those rebar ties. You don't want any steel near the surface of the gunite or your risk it rusting and bleeding stains onto the plaster. The gunite crew is not going to concern themselves with steel sticking through the gunite.

You have pics of the area your second question is about?

I do but for some reason it was too big to upload and I can’t figure out how to downsize it. I’ll see if I can try something else.
Also...just finished tidying up all the wires so thank you. That is what my gut was telling me.

Turn off HDR on your camera app. HDR makes pics too large for the TFP server.
