Can I use trichlor floater while pump is out of service?

Waiting on electrician to fix pool pump GFCI breaker so pump has been without power for days. They won't be here for 3-4 more days. I have trichlor pucks and a floating dispenser.

Can I use that to keep some chlorine in the pool? Wife wants to swim, but I'm saying it's not sanitary. It's a vinyl pool so I'm concerned about it bleaching the liner as there is ZERO water movement.

I also have 12.5% liquid chlorine but no way I'm putting that in there with the pump off

Pour 5ppm of liquid chlorine in and stir it using your pool brush.

Your liner will be fine and your wife can swim.

Why not? A few ounces at a time, followed by brushing to distribute it, will work way better than pucks in a floater.

Thanks! I kinda figured as long as I can mix it up real well in the pool it would be OK I forgot to add water is crystal clear.
