Can I use pool water on my plants after the season?

We have an AG pool that we take down for the winter in mid-September. I'd like to use the water that was in the pool to give my trees a good drink of water before the freeze.

Is it safe to do that for the trees and what would I need to let the chlorine level drop down to?

It hasn't hurt my grass or trees over the last two seasons. This year FC was 16 when I lowered the water to winterize.

Fc being zero would be best but not practical. Cya is toxic but not in pool levels.
