Can I use a 10:1 ratio of bleach on my mesh pool cover?

We are having work done on our deck before we remove the pool cover so debris doesn't fall in the pool. Specifically, we are re-doing the grout/poly sand between the pavers around the pool. We did this years ago and ended up with 50lbs of polymetric sand at the bottom of the pool. I don't want to deal with that collosal mess again so we are leaving the pool cover on this time.

They are powerwashing and cleaning the pavers and I am torn between using a 1:10 ratio of bleach/water or simple green. We have a lot of mold/mildew on the pavers so powerwashing alone won't cut it. I don't want to destroy the pool cover though and I'm wondering if bleach will do just that. Thoughts or suggestions?

Either will be fine to clean your deck and get into the pool.

The chlorine will breakdown what is in simple green.

using a 10:1 ratio of bleach/water

You mean using 10 parts water for 1 part bleach? Or 10 parts bleach for 1 part water?

If you are using 6% bleach then 10:1 water to bleach says the mixture is less then 0.6% chlorine.

Oops - I had that backwards. Yes, 1:10 bleach to water, or 10% bleach. I'll correct in the original post if I can. The more I think about it, the more I think I should go the simple green route... That won't damage the pool cover and it supposed to be safe around pools.
