Can I drain my Vinyl Pool until September

My liner is getting replaced this september. Currently there is a leak somewhere in my liner as I am constantly adding chemicals such as CYA every few weeks.

My current liner is extremely faded for only being 6 years as it was over chemicalized and living in a high water table it has popped from the wall and can't get it back on the wall. Even after trying the heating method.

Can I drain it and leave it empty until September?

That doesn't bode well for the ability to keep an IG pool drained and not have it pop out of the ground.
