Can I buy a slightly oversized overlap liner?

Trouble finding an affordable overlap, expandable liner for our oval above ground pool.
Found one being sold by a person that is 1 foot longer than what we need.....
with the overlap liner, can we install and just trim the excess?

How does your liner attach?
I'm going to ask a few above ground pool smart folks to see if they know if you can do as you suggest?-

1ft longer is going to cause severe wrinkling/folding at the bottom and up.tge side of the pool. This is really not ideal.

What Casey said it is not just the sides what will be the extra length. it will be the bottom as well and there will not way to over come that I am very sorry to say.
