Can calcium increase on its own?

Testing error.

Why are you testing CH weekly? That's often unnecessary. 2 (or 3 at most) times per month is more than sufficient. It's impossible for CH to change quickly enough to warrant weekly testing.

I check my calcium every week, and sometimes it goes down when it rains alot, but sometimes it seems to go up even without me adding in calcium.

Is this possible? Can someone explain how calcium can increase on its own?
:)

Thanks,

How much rain is a lot of rain? How much does CH change when this happens?

Evaporation can have the same effect by concentrating the CH and it goes up.

But the amount of change is relatively small because of the small water volume changes involved.
